I intend on applying to pharmacy school in the coming year; however, I already have five college degrees including the following:

BA Biology
BS Accounting (4.0 GPA)
BSBA Finance (4.0 GPA)
MA Instructional Technology (4.0 GPA)
Master of Library Science

Would the fact that I have so many degrees in fields unrelated to the medical sciences hurt my chances of being admitted into pharmacy school? Thank you.

I don't think it will hurt your chances but this might come up during the interview process.
I am applying for pharmacy school with a MS too, if anything it should boost your chance of getting in since you have already proven yourself

Why not work in accounting or finance? Your job prospects are probably much better there without you having to take out an additional $200k+ in loans and spend another 4 years in school.

If you really have that many degrees, you're probably up to your eyeballs in debt already. Why take on more? It's time to get a job, grow up, and join the real world.

You'll have an easy time getting accepted to practically any pharmacy school (this would be the case even if you didn't have any of those degrees), but like Stoichiometrist said, you'll have MUCH better job prospects as an accountant than as a pharmacist. In fact, the Pharm.D. would likely end up being your most expensive degree as well as the one with the worst ROI.

If you're doing pharmacy for the money, I would look into applying to accounting/finance graduate programs; at the local public 4-year universities, accounting/finance professors start off at almost exactly $100k/year, receive excellent benefits packages, get tons of vacation, and have (as compared to pharmacists) easy schedules and infinitely better working conditions.

It's funny you made this post when you did, because literally 2 days ago I had a conversation with a family member about how smart of a route this would have been to take. It's too late for me now, but if I could go back I would have strongly considered this career path. A master's degree in accounting would only take you half the amount of time it takes to get a pharmacy degree as well. There may even be programs that offer "bridged" masters-to-doctoral programs. Don't make the mistake of going to pharmacy school. Capitalize on your accounting degree.
