With match day less than 2 weeks away, all my Step exams finished, and easy rotations/vacation left on the schedule I am experiencing senioritis worse than I ever did in high school or college.

Who's with me? How are you passing the time? In the last two months I've watched the first four seasons of House (I think I was the only medical student not watching it) and played enough TF2 and L4D to make my eyes blurry.

On one hand it's nice to have all this free time, but on the other hand... Well, maybe my feelings will change after match day.

i am so with you. i'm on derm right now and they have their national meeting, so i've i have a 6-day weekend. it's awesome, and as a bonus, i actually like derm. international elective in belize next month. graduation may 15.

i almost bought a wii last week - simply because i saw them in stock at target, and i've got the time. i resisted. i've gone out to eat more than the last 3 years combined. it seems like the more free time i have, the less i get accomplished. 👍

It must suck to be you .

On a serious note, it's always nice to see people at the end of the tunnel. It gives us hope that the tunnel actually has an end! Congrats on being [almost] done!

After match day, there was nothing but vacation for me until graduation day when I had to show up and get the diploma. Life was sweet! It was the last long vacation that I have had.

Yes, fourth year was the best year of medical school and I enjoyed every second of my vacation that year.

Can't wait, starting to brace myself for the next year

Serious case of senioritis here. Doing an international rotation next month and then graduation! I am starting to get a little sad about the prospect of leaving my friends and my city though 🙁

Enjoy the vacation. Because you'll be working pretty hard in residency compared to 4th yr medical school. I wish that I had relaxed more in 4th yr, because I still had some mandatory rotations to complete after match day.

Yes, I have a serious case of senioritis. The worse aspect of this is that I start my AI the same week as match. It will be hard getting up early and staying late / Q4 call for these 3 1/2 weeks (at least I am sure I will have Thursday and Friday of Match Week off).

Good Luck Everyone!

Got it too... had it bad since last month (after interviews were done). I'm on a clinical rotation where I have to do 1 evening clinic a week -- not cool. At least I have vacation next month!
