i have started running (with nothing chasing me)..how are you dealing w/stress?

for me this is very odd. i am usually vehemently opposed to exercise unless running to or from something important or terrifying (in the rain). but i have been running at least 3.5 miles 4-5 times per week the past few weeks. i listen to really angry music and think to myself screw the medical schools that dont want me screw them screw them....

"it's just one of those days when you dont wanna wake up everything is f***ed. everybody sucks. you dont really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off..." thank you fred durst...this song really gets at the root of how i feel lately. 😡
 
we can just get rid of this thread there already is one like it. sorry everybody!!!

i'm the same way. i don't mind running if i'm going somewhere, but running in circles normally drives me nuts. but yet, here i am doing it, every other day, in the dark after work (and its cold). if i don't do it every other day at least, i can feel my leg muscles twitching. i may cough up for a gym when it starts getting icy and snowy.

i run. AND i drink.

there's gotta be a better way to go through this process... we're a bunch of people with humanitarian ambition! i just want to be a doctor!
