I lost my Step 1 score report when my laptop crashed

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Well you don't really need the hard copy anyway. You will have to pay to upload it to eras (not sure why)

Pro tip: start using the cloud! Services like dropbox or google drive which sync with your computer and never lose an important file again.

As said above though you don't need it. Anyone who wants your Step 1 score will need it sent directly from the NBME.

Sorry, I should have clarified, this is for VSAS

You have to pay for it. There is no other option. The fee you will pay is minuscule compared to fees you will pay in the future.

Ah yeah, that sucks man. I printed my score report out and lost that too lol

So I pay the price and get a hardcopy of the report via snail mail? or do they send the pdf, too?

Unless something has changed in the past few years, you'll get a hardcopy in the mail. I would highly recommend scanning that as a PDF and backing it up.

And that scanned pdf can be uploaded into VSAS, then?

Is there any way to get it back? I see that there is a $70 fee option for a hardcopy (I think), but I just want the pdf...

What do you mean by your laptop crashed? Won't turn on? Or the hard drive physically broke?

If the computer won't turn on take the hard drive out and connect it to another computer to get your files off of it. I use this to connect, it was $25
