I made a $700 and $1000 deposit to 2 pharmacy schools, and I ended up declining both.

Now I have money sitting in my bank and I've been waiting months for them to cash it out. I don't want to withdraw anything in case something goes wrong and they can't cash the check due to low funds = blacklisted.

I was under the impression that you deposit to hold your spot, and if you decline, then they cash it out and keep it.

Anyone know WHEN pharmacy schools typically take your deposit? Do some schools not cash it at all?

This seems very strange if it's been months already. I wouldn't say that you're in the clear until the next application cycle is over; don't call them or they might cash it out then haha

If I remember correctly they cashed mine right away; I think I did it online

Deposits are non-refundable. They tell you that when you make the deposit. Are they checks are CC payments? Call your bank and stop payment on the checks if you aren't interested in going to the schools anymore. They won't blacklist you bc of insufficient funds. Also, in the future pay deposit with CC instead.
