Hello everyone!
I'm about to graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in biology and now I need to find an opportunity to get experience in the medical field. I wasn't able to do any research or shadowing during my undergraduate years for a variety of reasons and now I'm hoping to find a job in the medical field in which I can gain the experience needed to apply to PA school. The problem that I've seen so far is that most jobs in the field require previous experience, a degree in medical technology or an RN. Being that I don't have any of those, I'm not sure that I'll be able to find a decent job. I've been informed of the physician's scribe program which would provide great experience, but unfortunately it doesn't pay enough for me to afford to live on my own, especially since my student loans will hit in November. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, so I'm hoping that there will be opportunities in such a large city! Does anyone have any suggestions as far as where I can find a job that will pay above minimum wage and doesn't require previous experience? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
