Dear All
I have been studying for usmle from first aid and kaplan for almost 2 years, but the problem is that my memory is so limited and brain power is so weak, I even can't study long hours before headache jump in my head and I can't put any more information or even recall any information. my exam should be in early feb as I am off work for 2 years and I can't wait any more. I am so lost now, I don't know what to do. I understand that every thing is in God's hand & I believe in him 100 %. That is why I am just asking do you think just studying the 6 NBMEs exams + the USMLE.org CD is sufficient to PASS.

Waiting for your kind replies

Sorry to hear about your headaches.
Unfortunately, the NBMEs and the USMLE.org CD are for practice only so I wouldn't relay on them.
It may be good idea to use first Aid instead.
Also you may need to make special arrangements with the test center since the exam is 8 hours long.
All the best!!!

I dont' get it. You've been studying for USMLE for TWO YEARS? Are you/were you even in medical school? What is this job you've taken a leave from for the last 2 years?

Go see a doctor about the headaches. How is your vision? (or, This is the Medicine I Have Learned from Watching Lost!)

Yes, Allot of stuff he mentioned above do not make sense, but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  1. Studying 2 years? Few people can remember what they read 2 years ago. Memory fades with time.
  2. you were studying for 2 years and going to study another two years just to prepare for step 1???? That is 4 years.
  3. the link between the head aches and the sudden loss of memory? Do you get seizures?
  4. taking work off for two years? How are you going to support yourself in these two years.
  5. Studying solely from NBME and USMLE.ORG CD?????
  6. your 3 previous posts lead us to believe you were ready to secure top residency spot.

I did try to answer your question, but when someone reads your question we are left with more question….
