i'm sure this has been addressed before but i found nothing on the subject. Currently I am trying to come to a decision between getting a postbacc-most likely an MS/MA degree, or an MPH degree.
I graduated with a 3.0 (lower in sci) but I got a D in the first O chem and never took the second. My worst gpa year was probably junior (personal stuff) but then senior was 3.6 but not so many science classes.
Undergrad study is not an option for me. Also I have never taken the MCAT but plan to do so in august or april next year.
I feel that an MS/MA (like at BU or so) would maybe help my chances of med school but I also really want an MPH (which I realize I can get later)
Given my situation what would be a more logical course of action? Anyone in similar situations (or have been)?
Any help would be much appreciated

No matter what, you need to take and complete the Ochem sequence. That's a required course for admission for most med schools. Better to take care of that before MCAT, since there are Ochem questions on there.

yea i would definitely retake Ochem I and then finish up II. That is BEFORE taking the MCAT and I am willing to bet that to get into most of the M.S postbac programs you will need those two courses. For BU and UMDNJ you needed to take a gre or MCAT course before you even applied.

There are certain programs geared to people in yhour position (not all necessary science courses completed and low GPA) search for those types of programs
