Hi everybody ...

I'm in a bit of a mess at the moment. I have my application pretty much all ready to submit, but there's one thing that is holding me back, or I would've submitted a while ago.

So I shadowed this DO physician a few months ago and he also said that he would happily write me a letter. So then a few months later, I contacted him but I didn't get a reply back. Ever since April or May of this year, I have tried to contact him by email or phone, but I have received no luck. I recently found out he barely works in that specific hospital anymore, and I tried contacting the new hospital ... so there may still be hope.

However the thing is that I don't know if this doctor changed his mind to write it or not. So I can't really send him that official letter request via the app, yet. I read that I can submit my app (to get things verified) before getting the actual letters but some schools still require the actual name of the doctor.

So what should I do? Is it getting too late for early app submission? Should I just find another DO doctor and ask him if he can write a letter?

move on, i have similar experience with some jerk doctors.... he may be in the middle of divorce....
dont expect anything from this person

But can I still submit my app right now, without mentioning who the DO lor would be from and then later on submit the lor's?

you can always submit ptimary without letter, many people would use interfolio instead of aacomas. But your secondary would not be complete without LOR(if DO letter is required)
