Can someone please help calm me down? I went to an interview recently at Wingate. Everyone else who has interviewed there has said that their letter came in the mail within like 5 days. My interview was 12 days ago and I still haven't heard from them. What does this mean? I know I am being crazy, but it's stressing me out and I would appreciate some feedback. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Has it taken anyone else a while to get their letter? I know that 12 days isn't a long time at all, but I keep hearing how quick they usually are and it's making me nervous.

hi, beccala33, 12 days is not long at all...but i understand what you're feeling since people got some news within 5 days(which I think is pretty quick)..Just be patience and wait!!! good luck to you :luck: :luck:

Hey don't worry about it. Did they give you a time frame for a response? If it has been longer than that you may want to consider calling them. Depending on how many interviews they've been doing lately it may take longer. :luck:

if it helps, u should try to prepare for your other interviews or go hang out w/ friends.
time flies faster when u'r busy doing something. it's not the end of the world if u don't get into wingate or any other pharm school.... It's the end of ur career goal though. 😀 j/kidding.
anyway, u r not alone. i feel this way too. still waiting for my result and feel like i'm sitting on nails. (and yes, i've checked my seat. several times. )
😛

Why don't you call them? If they told to expect some kind of notification and you didn't get it could possibly mean your letter was lost or sent to the wrong place. I've heard of that happening in the forums.

Did you interview on Friday the 17th? I'm wondering if you interviewed with me. I remember the dean saying that they would get together a couple days after the interview and send out acceptance letters. However, acceptance is based on points added from PCAT, GPA, personal statement, interview, essay, group project, etc... The dean said that you'll get a letter asap if the computer calculates that you have so many points no future interviewee could possibly surpass you. If the computer spits out a number that may be surpassed, they delay sending out an acceptance letter until all interviews have taken place.

At the very least, you can give them a call next Monday to check up on your application. Did you take the January PCAT? Maybe they were waiting for that to add more points to your app to guarantee you a seat? Anywho... I'm really curious to see if you were in my interview group!?

I interviewed there on Feb 10. and I haven't heard anything back either. I spoke to Abby Coleman today and she said

"The Admission Committee is still in the process of finalizing their decisions. Once a decision has been made we will contact you."

so just relax and feel anxious for a couple more days.

Jeffro, where in florida do you live? I think I might know you...

Thanks so much to everyone for writing to calm my nerves!!! I feel much better because I am better informed. I didn't know any of that stuff about the points or them waiting to see if something better comes along (so to speak.) So it's kind of like being wait-listed then, maybe?
