hey everyone. this is my first post in the pharmacy section so forgive me if I ask a stupid question.

i have completed 33 hours and by the end of the spring semester I will have between 67-69 hrs. can I apply next year for pharm school? if it is possible for me to apply next year when should I start the application process (plz be specific). also what kind of EC's do I need to have completed. I have volunteered in a nursing home, I worked at a hospital last summer and next summer I plan to volunteer/work at a local pharmacy. and one other question when should I take the PCAT?

sorry for so many questions. at my school we don't have designed pre-pharm advisers so I am figuring it all out for myself.

Thanks

As long as the # of credit hours completed is enough to satisfy the majority of the prerequisites of the pharmacy schools you are interested in (make sure to check), you should be ok. The application process typically starts early June, so you can start your application them using the pharmCAS system for pharmCAS schools and through the individual applications for non-pharmCAS schools. You can take the PCAT anytime, although generally October is the last accepted test date for any given year. If you wait until January, it's usually too late. From the looks of your planned ECs, they look great.
