i need the process explained

I am starting on apps now (took the august mcat). Can someone explain to me exactly how the application process works. I'm not exactly sure. I'd greatly appreciate POSITIVE advice. I am only applying DO.

assuming your MCAT is already complete:

0. assure that you have released MCAT scores to AACOMAS

1. have all transcripts from any college you ever attended sent to aacomas.

2. Fill out "primary application" @ www.aacom.org

3. submit and pay for primary application

4. AACOMAS will verify application, coursework and calculate GPA as well as transmit your primary application to your "designated schools" list

5. wait for secondaries from schools

6. fill out, submit and pay for "secondary applications" asap -- as you receive them (NOTE: this includes sending letters of recommendations as part of completing secondaries at requesting school)

7. wait for interview invitations

8. schedule interview invitations and attend them

9. wait for acceptance notification from schools

10. decide from acceptances which school to attend, then submit matriculation fees and the other administrative items such as criminal background check, health assesment, vaccinations, credit checks or whatever else each school requires.
