I need to know the status of Pertussis vaccine in UK

Hello friends,
I wanted to ask a question from medical students in the UK or sweden.
I am a final year medical student from India. A group of doctors here is propogating that the Pertussis vaccine is dangerous and should not be given to the children. They also say that its banned in the UK and sweden. please clarify.

The pertussis vaccine has been around a long time and been given to a lot of people without any real bad side effects or long term dangers noted. People who go around propagating such nonsense do not practice evidence based medicine.
