Hey guys! so i just took the DAT the other day for the first time and here are my results:

QR: 14
Perception: 15
Bio:18
GC: 17
OC:22
RC:20

AA: 18
TS: 19

I know my scores aren't the best but I have a 3.7 Overall GPA and 3.6 Science GPA. I plan on retaking the test, but I was wondering if you guys had any advice or thoughts as to what my chances look like with these scores. I've never really been a good standardized test taker, and my previous tests (SAT, ACT) have been a reflection of that, but I am a good student and make good grades! Also, i know my QR score was really low, which doesn't even make sense since I've made it through calc 2 and stat 2 with all A's. Let me know you're thoughts! Thanks so much!!

I think PAT is your problem. It is one of the most important section of DAT, so I suggest a retake.

Chances without a retake: slim to none.

Chances with a retake getting the same scores, but 18 or 19 in QR and PAT: very good.

If schools were blind to the individual sections and just saw 18 AA, 19 TS with a 3.7/3.6, I'd say your chances were pretty good. But a 14 and 15 are big eye sores, particularly in the PAT section.

Chances really are slim to none. To get accepted you would have to have some excellent EC's and/or know someone in the school.

I would apply and retake in 3 months, submit the new scores when you get them.
