Guys...

I graduated in 1999 from USC with biomedical engineering degree. I applied to dental schools in 1998, but I had to withdrew my application due to family issues.
I got a very good job as a IT programming manager after graduation and I have been working since then. I took the DAT a few days ago, since I want to go back to dental schools. Here is my score:

Overall 22

PAT 17 ( all the Angles look the same, I used to get 22 in Kaplan)
QR 20
RC 18 (English is my second language)
O-Chem 27
G-Chem 25
Bio 22

Science Average 24

I am a California resident and i would like to go to UCLA, since I went to USC for under grad. Here are my school choices:
1. UCLA
2. USC
3. UOP
4. USCF

My question is what you think about my chances to get accepted at UCLA. Please advise me about this and let me know what I should do to make my application look more competitive ( i.e. do I need to take DAT again?). I highly appreciate your suggestions.

By the way, does anyone know about dental school ranking?

Hey Balance,

Since I'm not a CA resident, the only question of yours that I can answer is that dental schools have no official ranking. There was one back in 1992, and that is the most recent. A relatively good estimate of how good a school is can determined by looking at the average board scores. However, this is only a number. My best advice would be to visit schools, look at clinics, see how well the clinics are run, the condition and talk to the students, see how happy they are. That's just my opinion. There are no clean-cut rankings for dental schools though.
