The DAT exam I had consisted of a couple questions that were incorrectly displayed. I contacted the ADA and they offered me to retake the exam so I rescheduled it for September 22nd. I submitted my application June 6 and I've already been hearing back from some schools. I anticipate that by mid-October (the time it takes for my official scores to get reported) I will have heard back from most schools.
Since these are under special circumstances, whatever I score on this exam will replace my initial score whether it is better or worse. Assuming I perform better, there will be no trace of my previous score. However, most dental schools will have already either rejected me or invited me to an interview by then. Besides marking it on my AADSAS application, do you think it's possible to inform the dental schools that rejected you to reconsider after I retake due to these circumstances? Any suggestions? I would like to apply this cycle but my DAT scores the first time around aren't very competitive so I really want to show them my new DAT scores if receive a better score for this cycle.
