i just did my step 1, a few days ago, problem is i can't stop thinking about the exam i keep remembering questions that i got wrong and i am getting very scared ,to make matters worse i have to prepare for step 2 which i plan to take soon

Just relax if you can. The vast majority of people taking the Step I pass with flying colors. EVERY PERSON who took the Step I is haunted by "easy" questions that they just "should" have gotten right. Don't worry; we all experienced similar feelings.

Good luck on Step II

i really wish i had discovered this forum before my step 1.... thanks so much for ur advice....... just one more question what books/materials shld i read for step 2 to maximize my scores

I am sure you did fine. I wanted to add that I am currently feeling the same way, as I just took step I a few days ago, and feel somewaht worried as well, can't stop thinking about it. But I wanted to ask, how did you feel whan actually taking the exam, was it harder, same, or easier than practice test/questions you did before? For me, I felt the real thing was harder than NBME Q's, for example.
I was just curious if anyoone else felt the same way about it.

i definitely felt it was harder i just hope things will turn out fine
