I took the exam beginning of the july and i passed

i got everything needed for the application

high school transcript, done with fingerprint, fill out the form

but still waiting for the self-query thing to be mailed and me,

so i can attach everything and submit my application



but today, i received my pharmacy technician certification paper and card
(with certification number and renew, expire dates and everything)

how is it possible? i have not even submitted the application yet

do i still need to submit everything (application, trasncript, self-query, passport pix etc)?

and since i get this cerficiation, can i work as a pharm tech right now?

The application that you have filled out is for your state license. It is different from the pharmacy technician certifications that you have received from PTCB. I am not sure which state you are applying for but in CA, you will need to submit that pharmacy technician certification (original or notarized copy) along with the rest of the stuff you have listed to get your state pharmacy license.

I know some pharmacies (private) accept people to work with just the certification but most if not all other big name pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Target, and etc.) require you to have a state license. It varies depending on which state you reside in.

I would advise you to submit your application as soon you receive your self query envelope and apply for jobs.

Oh so i need to attach this one as well as other stuffs for application process
Thanks a lot it solves my question! i even talked to someone from PTCB over the phone and all she said is "you still need to submit everything"
