How do I do the math to know the rate increases by a factor of 9? 😳

You have to examine the table first.

When you double [A] while holding constant, you double the rate.

When you triple while holding [A] constant, you increase the rate 9x.

Now you know rate and [A] have a first-order relationship, while rate and have a second-order relationship.

That's the second option.

If you change the initial rates on trial one, you will see that .2 x 10^-4 must multiply by 9 to get 1.8 x 10^-4.

3^x=3^2 so your exponent for should be 2.

Nevermind...I just realized all I had to do was convert 1.8 x 10^-4 to 18.0 x 10^-5

I understand why it went from ^-5 to ^-4 too. Thanks to whoever tried helping! I'm good now 👍
