I knew I loved radiology on my first day of a radiology elective. And now going into 4th month of my prelim medicine year I thank god daily that I didn't choose IM. I now understand why MCAT has a reading comprehension section: interns have to quickly read previous H&P's, and other documentations and summarize them to present to the attendings so they don't have to read them. What kind of a bs is that? It's such a waste of time. Medicine in itself is an intellectually interesting field. Yet until one becomes an attending I feel like residents do b.s. work. Half of senior residents I've worked with are nervous rats and come call days they turn into moody, tense....Jekyll and Hyde like. It's just really weird. It's such a stressful specialty but for the wrong reasons.
I can't wait to start my radiology residency.🙂
