Hi all,
So I'm a sophomore in college currently pursuing a degree in Biology. I hope to take this degree and apply for a graduate program to become a PA. G.P.A. hasn't been a problem since I've maintained a 3.77 for three semesters. However, this semester my Calculus I class has gotten me pretty worried. At best I think I'm looking at a C for my final grade. This is unless I score a B or higher on the final, which I'm working towards, but being realistic with my options on if I do not achieve this goal. Will this C grade negatively affect my chances at getting accepted into a competitive field? Do I still have a chance at being atractive to a program? I know that the grades aren't the only component and that my GRE and clinical experience will be an important factor too. I just want to make sure I'm being realistic here. Any advice or stories about similar situations are appreciated! Thanks!

You are posting this in the pre-MD forum, and asking about PA programs.

The best advice that I can give you is to study your butt off and pull the B from the class by doing well on the final. Having a C won't kill you, but it won't look great either.

You want to put your best foot forward when you apply, and a C is not your best.

No single grade will hurt you but you certainly don't want to make a habit out of it. Always pull it up if you can but don't fret over it if you can't. Try to identify what went wrong and use it as a learning process.

Just an FYI, GRE means nothing for medical schools.

My apologies, wrong forum. Must have thought I could post here since I'm a Bio/Pre-med major at the moment. Thanks for the replies though, much appreciated!
