I think the poster is referring to the fact that she is a part of an orthopedic surgery group. I assume the OP isn't aware that this is more and more common everyday, however not a common occurrence overall.

Nothing out of the ordinary really. Several Ortho groups in my area have DPMs.

Same here. In one of the two large ortho groups there are 8 spine, knee, shoulder, hand orthos and 2 DPM.
