IBCLC Certification and Applying to Medical School

I took a graduate course this semester on Maternal and Infant Nutrition and I absolutely loved it. I am interested in getting certified to be a lactation consultant, but it is time-consuming. Would it be beneficial to get this certification and work with it when applying to medical schools? Would it be viewed as a valuable experience?

You should use it BEFORE you apply and have some decent experience in the field
