If you own an iBook or a Powerbook (12 and 15" models) sold between October 2003 and August 2006, please visit the Apple website below to see if your battery is eligible for replacement. There have been 9 cases of batteries overheating, but no cases of fires (yet).

a few months ago I bought a new battery for my ibook because I decided to wait for next revision macbooks - both my new and my old batteries qualify for replacement! 2 new batteries for me😀 7+hrs unplugged on the road! 😀 It's going to make it hard to justify an upgrade😳
