i got an email from ico saying i was in the top 12 ranking on their alternate list.. what are the chances of getting accepted?

I can't give you a statistic, but I can tell you a close friend of mine was on the waitlist for my class and received a call 1 week before orientation that told him to get to Chicago. I'm not sure where he was on the list, but probably similar to you. Don't give up hope, you still are in the running!

Good luck.

I just called ICO yesterday to let them know I won't be attending in the fall. I just received acceptance to my #1 choice, so you should be moving up. 🙂
Good Luck!

You should call or email to find out- trust me it's much better knowing the #. I recieved a letter saying I was in the top 10 at another school and was really excited until I called to find out I was number 10- a little less promising. And that way when people post that they've opened up a spot you'll know how that helps you!

:luck: Good luck- I really hope you get in Chicago is an AWESOME city. 😎

I know of 2 students from last year that were accepted off the alternate list, and one of them was given only 1-2 weeks notice before orientation...so keep hoping and be ready to move if necessary 🙂

I would give them a call and be persistant but not overly done.
Who knows which number you are but if you put yourself into their shoe, they would want a someone who was persistant and want to be at ICO.
If I was admission and with same GPA with couple of others students, I would definetly pick someone who really wanted to come to that school.

Show them you really want to come to ICO, make yourself stand out of crowd.

Good luck!! 🙂

You move up another spot. I just sent an e-mail to ICO admissions to withdraw my seat. I will be reapplying next year to stay local.

Good luck and much success to you.
