Sorry it took me so long to write.
The interview was really laid back! The prof that interviewed me was roommates with one of the OD's in my town (I was going to have him write my letter, but he was busy). We talked about hime for a little while, and then talked about the the OD I did have write my letter...he knew him too! The interviewer graduated about two years after my letter OD. What a small world. It is good to know people. He also does quite abit of research at the school so we talked about my project. I think it went really well.
I met Anthony, he was really great. I told him I read about him on the internet, he was a little surprised.
I don't think anyone warned me about the writing sample...why not! I believe I'm a pretty good writer, but it takes me a while to get going. And if you have not noticed, I need spell check more than I need air.
I brought my dad with me for the day, it was interesting. We drove by his apartment and the school where my mother taught. Then through the entire interview he kept saying, "When I was here we had none of this." and, "This is so much nicer than what we had." and, "When I took this class we had to do it this way." It started to get a little old. It was neat to see him get a sparkle in his eye when we would talk about me going there. I really hope I get in. I'm a little scared because my numbers are not as great as I would like to see them. I hope they look past all that.
The next interview review meeting is Monday and they said they usually mail the letters out the next morning. If it all goes to schedual, I should know somthing by nex week, lets hope so.
