This lady was surving breakfast today at Hyvee... Anyhow, she has pea-sized and smaller bumps on her skin near neck, hands, some on the face, a lot of them. Pretty much bump sitting on bump in some areas. And ocasional bumps in the other. No redness, seems like she was living this condition for many years. I met another person like this many years ago as well. I just want to know what's this condition is called so I can do a google search. Thanks.

she works at a store serving food. I doubt she has a small pox. Those are not lession, just closed bumps. I think they are cysts of some sort.

no those are red. This one is chronic, normal skin color and probably non-transducible.

Isn't it against SDN rules to discuss a patient's disease here? No person on here is going to know exactly what the disease is anyways until they see a picture of the patient. Also, what biochemical tests were done to exclude certain diseases? Do you get my point?

did not know that. Some diseases are pretty characteristic. I found out today that it is a metabolism disease and those bumps are pretty much fatty tissie. I am still trying to recall the name.

i think the OP is just talking for curiosity's sake. i think it is allowed to talk about diseases and how they present.

my vote goes toward neurofibromatosis, although it is hard to say without seeing it. this is a bad case (i have seen it a lot less severe):

not that bad... I know it is a metabolic disease, those bumps are actually fat, they are lipomas. When they are large and single, they are usually removed. But when there are many of small ones, there is not much you can and to live with them.

NF was my dx, no it's not metabolic, no they aren't lipomas, and no they aren't typically excised.

Familial hypercholesterolemia and such can cause xanthomas. Lipid metabolism disorders. Just look up lipomas or xanthomas or something and take your pick.

Could also be cooties.

I believe the word you're looking for is non-transmissible. At any rate, without a biopsy any diagnostic considerations are pure conjecture.
