I know, I know. Relax. Before you get all worked up and say, "there has been tons of threads on this topic...", there has NOT been a thread directly addressing what people would do if they could study again for Step 1 in the BRS vs. RR debate. So, this question is directed towards those that have taken the exam and done the UWorld questions, b/c only they know the level of depth that is required to do well (>230). For those of us who don't have a personal preference between BRS Pathology and RR Pathology, we would rather use the BRS Pathology if we knew that it was sufficient to achieve an excellent score (b/c obviously you could get through BRS in significantly less time b/c there is so much detail in RR Pathology). So, lets hear it, definitive answers and please explain your answers. Thanks for your time. 🙂

BRS is sufficient to get an excellent score, even if you define excellent as 260+.

That doesn't make it the best choice; that has to do with personal learning style and how well you learn Pathology in class.

Ironically I used BRS first semester, RR second semester, on my score report (249 so not some of the monster scores here), all my first semester classes were asterisk-ed.

that being said, I studied for lecture far more first semester and kinda dropped off second semester.
