Hi, I am considering retaking the premed classes because I originally took them outside the US. Will the allopath schools use them to replace my non- US science classes or still average them?

If your undergraduate degree is from the U.S. or from overseas and has already been conferred, the new classes will be listed separately on AMCAS under the postbac section.

iamnotconfused, I think it's a great idea. Esp if your foreign degree is over 5 yrs ago. If you re-take the req'd science courses it will help you with MCAT (if you didn't take it yet), and it will show the adcoms your ability to handle science here in the U.S. I'm planning to do just the same. I was able to get into the Caribbean schools without re-taking prereqs again. But US is a different story
