My school's full year transcripts arent ready until June 12th, so I'm missing my last semester of work. If I submit my AMCAS now, and send my updated transcript later, will AMCAS update the records and resubmit it to the schools?

I already know most of my grades, so I entered them, but they're not on the transcripts yet.

Thanks!

Hey you should fill in all ur grades on the amcas and usually when u request transcripts your school asks if you want to hold the release of them until the most current grades are ready and on it, so your school wont send htem till they are all ready, but i am pretty sure amcas doesnt allow you to add grades later and without them on the transcript they will take them off ur amcas as there is no proof u took them, but you can put them as courses took but dont put the grade in and the transcripts you have should show that you are taking them but no grades will show.. if that is good or bad to u i guess depends!

The answer is "no" you cannot update your grades once you have submitted to AMCAS.

You should have your transcripts sent express to AMCAS when your grades come out and then submit with your spring semester grades if you need them on your application.

The only way to add grades after submitting would be to do the whole application all over again!

Okay thanks. I think id rather pull a tooth out than do the app over again.

What does AMCAS exactly mean when they say to indicate all future course work? Does this really mean that we have to tell amcas ALL of the classes we are planning on taking next year or what?

Sorry to piggy-back off your post, but I have a similar quest. I've tried to get this answered elsewhere, but it hasn't quite worked out. My grades from study abroad (AMCAS doesn't want their transcript) won't show up on my home institution transcipt as pass/fail until september or october, and in fact I'm still in session until the end of june. Can I just enter the entire year as current/future coursework without any pass/fail mark? The courses are in philosophy and not relevant to medical schools. Thanks.

Bobdylan, yeah, I think AMCAS wants you to type in all the classes you intend to take. Whether or not you actually take them can be decided later, especially with second semester.
