Loma linda's mascot is basically Jesus. I dont think any mascot can beat the savior of the world.
You just cant beat a Billiken, whatever a billiken is.

Their official mascot was kinda racist, so this one works well!@libertyyne, I was gonna mention that unofficial "mascot" of Dartmouth![]()

It never had one, but for a while they were "the Indians."what was their official mascot?
Oops. 😛It never had one, but for a while they were "the Indians."
Dartmouth was originally founded to educate Native Americans (but, like a lot of early U.S. colleges, it started as a theology school, so it was also sort of to assimilate them and eliminate Native American cultures) so there's some an additional historical (but no less problematic) background beyond the average "Indians" mascot.
You've edited your post now, but I just wanted to say I agree that "robber barons" would have been great for Stanford! I didn't realize Stanford had an "Indians" phase - seems like every college thought that was a good idea at some point. :/Oops. 😛
Yep, after I re-read it , I realized you weren't talking about Stanford...so I edited it out. Students at the times thought Robber Barons was a fantastic choice...the school...not so much. 🙄 It would have been hilarious. Stanford was the Indians until the early 70's. And then the Cardinals (color not bird) for about 10 years and then just the Cardinal. You've edited your post now, but I just wanted to say I agree that "robber barons" would have been great for Stanford! Are you confusing med schools with their parent bodies?
