i'd like to interview you.

q1) why are you interested in this?
q2) is this an interview q you got?

This sounds very similar to a question on the Wayne State secondary.

Interview someone dead? WTF?

Is it because I am dumb or the modern medicine can revive people already?

Seriously? What the hell?!

How do you interview someone dead?

You go find a witch? or priest?

My response to your inquiry was meant to be satirical in nature as I was sarcastically replying that some wackjob on TV claims he can talk to dead people.

Edit: Further, the question is just hypothetical, it's not as though you are actually going to go out and do this. They want to see that you're capable of providing a well thought out answer.

I would say... Da Vinci. I would ask him what he thought the meaning of life was, who the Mona Lisa is all about.

Also, Jesus. And maybe a famous Buddhist monk. Ask them the meaning of life, and what true happiness is.

I have an interview coming up and a friend of mine who interviewed previously at that school was asked this.

I am really not sure I am trying to come up with an interesting answer but I really can't think of one
just my equally blind opinion, but i think if you worry less about who but instead focus on the why, you'll be better off. that is to say, don't concern yourself with coming up with an interesting interviewee or question, come up with an interesting reason for interviewing whoever you want.

I would say Adam Osborne the inventor of the portable computer
