If you didn't have loans coming out of medical school.. what would you do?

Would you go do a stint overseas in some third world country? Do a stint with the military?

Honestly, if I didn't have to worry about loans or whatnot.. I'd love maybe to play with the military or something. The world's going to hell in a handbasket, so it would be nice if we could take at least 20 years of schooling and mental focus and go out into the places where you'd be needed the most.

The only downside, outside of the fact that you could die and the lousy paycheck would be that you couldn't settle down if you were inclined to do so.

What're your guys thoughts on this?

I'd start saving up
1. for retirement
2. to afford having a baby in the future/college fund
3. to afford to buy a house or condo

Hey TTSD, you know you can do the military and then you come out of med school debt-free. And don't worry, you'd get to see a lot of fun stuff.... in fun places.

I'd be totally screwed.....I am still suffering and traumatized from having to go through my undergrad with minimal loan. I can't imagine having to pay through med school !! :scared:
