.... I guess All im trying to say is that even though we could be getting into pharmacy school this year, it doesnt mean that we can just relax for the rest of the year, we have to work hard to keep deserving the place we have worked so hard to earn! good luck to all of you, keep studying!

That's correct. I've told from several admission's officers from TN...but why not try your best anyways? Personally, I want to finish the best I can so my gpa will reflect the hardwork I have put in in undergrad.😛

Depends on the school. Of course you will definatly have to get at least Cs. While in other similar threads , others have heard schools say to keep up academically as you were before you got accepted. So basically ask the school.

agreed, besides you never know when you are gonna need to use college record again. No harm in doing your best.

I agree! I just thought that was kinda weird, i guess for lack of a better word...

The four schools I was accepted to required all C's but I would definitely make sure what the conditions of your acceptance are before shooting for Cs.

Did you mean all C's in the pre-pharmacy pre-reqs? I don't think they care so much about the other classes as long as you complete their pre-req's with a C or above.

Yup. For me to keep my seat for next fall, I only need the minimum C (no C-) in all pre-reqs. Doesn't mean I'm only aiming for C's though. I want all A's all the time, however unrealistic that may be. If I get a C in a course, it won't be from lack of effort.

Lack of intelligence then....?

if you're gonna be getting Cs before pharmacy school...it may reflect your lack of dedication and eventually result in Cs and Ds in PHARMACY SCHOOL....work your hardest no matter what...the reason why you would be given an acceptance would be because you are hardworking and the school believes you will continue to be hardworking in and after school~

Some schools require a 3.0 overall for the remaining quarter/semester and no grade lower than a C for any unfinished pre-reqs.

On pharmcas, I listed that I was planning on taking biochemistry II next semester. But if I get accepted to USC, I can technically drop Biochemistry II since it's not one of their pre-reqs, correct?

yes thats Right. However, I know a pharm student who goes to UOP (I know its not the school you are talking about) and she says that even though it is not required for UOP either, she had to take biochem for her major and it has really helped her in pharmacy school. I dont have to take biochem either but even if I get into UOP I will still do because its a good idea to have some background knowledge before you really begin learning really intense pharm biochem.

Hmm, good advice.👍

Well I dont know how truth this is...
My pharmacist who went and was part of the admissions committee for my top choice school told me that if I get an acceptance, say this december, I can get all c's for all they care the rest of the year. Meaning as long as I pass the classes and finish my BS they dont care if I get A's anymore. What do you guys think, is this truth? if so, will you be more laid back the remainder of this school year?

It's actually true but let's all be precautious and try our best to at least get B or B+. Getting Cs is too risky. Just remember that there are a LOT of people on the waitlist waiting for you to screw up.
