Let's say I am having trouble in Organic Chem.

My prof is too busy with his/her research and I need help. What resources are out there?

He/She should not be too busy with research to help out. There should be set office hours or something where you can talk with him. Or talk to TAs.

If not, I've heard good things about Organic Chemistry as a Second Language.

At my school, profs were required to have office hours. Does your school have something like that?

Ask the TA for help. If that doesn't work, try to hire them, or another TA, as a private tutor. The chem dept at my school kept a list of individuals (basically the TAs) that were interested in doing private tutoring.

Another option is to see if your school offers free group tutoring sessions or cheap private tutoring. If you know anyone particularly brilliant in your class, suggest starting a study group or something, since I'm sure you're not the only person who needs help with ochem.

But uh...how exactly are you taking ochem right now?!

Try to find out if your university has some sort of tutoring center. A lot of schools offer free tutoring. If not, then try to form a study group in class.
