IgA protease: does the cleaved Fc fragment then bind to bug, helping adherence?

My question is in the subject. I believe this is what Kaplan Qbank said. Just came upon a similar question in World, which just says IgA protease cleaves IgA so that it cannot work anymore. IgA protease may do both, but just wanted some input on whether the bacteria can really use the Fc portion to help it stick...

As far as I know, it does both. Cleaving the IgA Fc effectively disables the IgA functioning as intended, but then the cleaved Fc can be used as an adherence mechanism by the bug. This info is from Kaplan Microbiology.
