Hi, I'm new here, just found this website!!

What did you all think of illinois yesterday for those of you who were there? I thought that the interview was a little weird, I wish that they had seen my file beforehand. does anyone know when they send out their decisions?

Hi, I am new to this forum! I also interviewed at UIUC yesterday. I thought it was more informal than Purdue. I liked how the interviewers did not know much about me because it gives them a unbiased first impression. I think they said they will try to send out acceptance letters next week!! GOOD LUCK  !

I was surprised that the interviews were as short as they were. I was talking with the interviewers for about twenty minutes and that length seemed much longer than the mean time. Also, the behavioral questions were much tamer than I expected. I thought they would ask the interviewees to come up with actual situations that could be applied to the question or request e.g., "Give an example of a time where the odds were against you, but you produced a positive result." Thankfully, the questions related to detailed theoretical situations about correcting accidents and interpersonal communication mishaps.

IL letters will be sent out March 6th if I remember correctly. I almost felt rushed in the interview, not sure how they could really get to know me in such a short time. The hypothetical questions were a suprise, I also thought they were going to ask for examples from my past. Did anyone else feel like there was a clear answer they were looking for? The informality was nice, yet when they mentioned the Packers I was suprised (I'm from WI). Can't wait to hear... good luck everyone!

I received a voicemail last night from Illinois saying that I got in!

I thought during the information session they said we would be notified by letter, regardless of the decision? Does anyone else remember this? I've been checking my mail box constantly!
Congrats snowyegret! Are you accepting the invitation or waiting to hear on other schools? 😀

Thanks! I'm not sure if I'll be accepting, since I'm still waiting on word from Davis. Dean Whiteley said something about getting a scholarship, which is maybe why I received a phone call before the actual letter....

Hmm. That's interesting you received a phone call. My phone has recently gone amissing and I cancelled the service, so I guess I will just have to wait for the letter to arrive.

Well, I wanted everyone to know that I got the U of I letter in the mail today. I'm in-state so it may be another day or two before out-of-staters get it. My acceptance came in a small standard envelope- I nearly started crying when I saw it. So don't worry if it's small, it still might be good news!!

i got my letter last friday...i was so nervous at first because it was such a small envelope!! i am so happy though...after ten years of wanting it and working for it, i am FINALLY going to be a vet!!!

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems receiving their letter from U of I. I live about an hour and a half away from the school and it still hasn't arrived! I called on Monday and they are sending me another. The suspense is driving me crazy. I'm always told patience is a virtue... but, I don't like that one!
