Illinois waitlist question

Hello everyone,

I am currently on the waitlist for the fall, I received the 'you may possibly get invited to join the class of 2012' letter which apparently means I am on the 'top tier' of the list. I am in state. I want to know what your experiences have been in the past with this waitlist status, or if you know about other people in your classes who have gotten off the waitlist. I guess I basically want to know what my chances are 'cuz I am DYIN' here....

Well, this may or may not be what you want to hear, but I was called off the Illinois waitlist in LATE July. I'd already relocated to Knoxville, so turned them down, but it is indeed possible you will get in. My waitlist letter wasn't as positive as yours. I didn't get told I might be called and I didn't get the almost reject letter stating it was unlikely. So I assume I was in the "middle" of the waitlist.
