I wanna say honestly cuz it will help you more.
Are you African American? If you are not, you cannot get in those two schools(Howard, Meharry). they won't even look at your application.
If you are African American, you have very super high chance to get in both school since their accepting GPA and DAT score very low. like 3.2 GPA and AA- 17
Other schools, you dont have a good chance to get in cuz that 15 is really low.
Unless you have high GPA.
I realize avg. GPA and DAT of accepted students is getting higher every year.
and UT UAB MCG.. These schools are all public state schools. out of state students cannot get in the state schools even though they have High GPA like 3.7 and high DAT like 22.

not true. My dentist is Chinese and he went to Howard. An asian got accepted there last year but had average DAT scores, like 3.4 GPA and 19's on DAT. But I do agree they predominantly choose african americans.

not true...QR is the least important section. While a 15 is no 18-20...the OP has good scores in other sections.

I agree with that "QR is the least important section", but still 15 hurts.
you should see which schools he is applying.
UT, MCG, UAB
These are all public state schools.
they are not accepting "out of state students" with 19 AA.
For example, UAB accepted students with 3.58 GPA and AA-19.2 in 2007, and most of them were from Alabama. what do you think if you are not from Alabama?
same thing with those african american school. These schools are supported by african american community.
If he applied easy private schools like Tufts or NYU, I would say "yes those scores are good enough"

1)dont apply any public schools if you are not live in that state.
2)apply all public schools in your state.
3)dont apply Howard, Meharry (if u r not african american)
I just hate people who are saying good words and dont really care about it.

great scores. do not worry about the QR score this section seems to be the lowest for most people and a 15 in qr is ok given that all your other scores are solid. If you have the money do not let anyone discourage you form applying to as many schools as you can african asian white or whatever you have to remember its all about numbers.
You did great now just set back and relax because with these scores you have earned it.

sorry i didnt see which schools he applied to but the 15 in QR is not the end of the world, yes its a crappy score but its better than receiving a 15 in RC. Look you are telling the truth he won't get into MCG, UT, UAB unless one of those states is his own because they are state schools funded by state govt so they have to pick their own residents. But the OP never states he's african american or not so he may have a shot at howard and meharry. I wouldnt neccesarily call Tufts and NYU easy private schools. While they do accept a lot of students, getting into dental school is not easy.

First of all, I attend UGA and I am applying to MCG (interview last Monday!!!) A friend of mine is applying to MCG also. His parents live in Colorado (moved there 5 years ago). He had to fill out A LOT of residency forms even though he graduated high school in Georgia and has lived here his entire life. You are going to have a VERY, VERY hard time getting into MCG. If they do not have proof that you are a GEORGIA resident, then they will reject you instantly.
It sounds like you were bragging about being drunk. Maybe it is just me, but the whole "I was drunk" part of you post makes me angry. Be professional, internet or not.....I know people will have SOMETHING to say about this...

You're absolutely right thats was uncalled for. I wasn't bragging about it I was just saying it sort of jokingly. I thought people on here were a little more light hearted than that. It was a joke and I guess it was a bad one. Sorry to have upset you.
I am from Atlanta and my parents live there as well. Your friend's family was from Colorado maybe that had something to do with it.

Whats the diff, hes african American, he's in at howard and meharry, maybe with a scholarship lol i wonder. If you are african merican you always have somewhere to go even if you get a 15 or 16 AA.
