so, i go to psu and switched my major 5 times so far..i should be graduating 2010 but since i switched to bio predental..which i love..im graduating 2011..which is ok w me..but anyways..i really want to go to dental school..and hopefully end up as an ortho..

heres my deal..i dont know where to start without freaking out!! i really want to go to nyu..i just fell in love with this school and their program

i need a mentor!! someone please help me!!!

Well first off you're going to want to take the pre-reqs (gen chem, orgo, bio, etc) and once you have completed those, I would take the DAT. Dental school is getting more and more competitive each year, so make sure you have at least a 3.5 GPA and 20 AA on the DAT to remain competitive and have a good shot at acceptance. Also, start working on your shadowing hours and try to shadow at least a general dentist and an ortho (since you said you're intersted in ortho). Also, good extracuriculars and volunteer hours are also important. The things that will get you an interview though are your GPA and DAT scores.
