sgpa: 3.8

will receive MSPH in biostats in april. i was just notified of being a finalist to the fulbright.
extracurriculars in college:
membership vice-president of my sorority (i realize not everyone takes this seriously, but it was a lot of work. just try getting 150 girls to listen to you)
president and founder for two years of the university yoga club.
3 years of research work with a poster publication at Society for Neuroscience
2 years of weekly volunteering at Ronald McDonald House and a children's hospital
1 year of research work in science education
1 year of research work in neuroeconomics

in terms of these extracurriculars, i just couldn't bring myself to do "resume fluffers," but i literally spent all my time going between these couple of things.

thanks in advance!

Need more shadowing, but the rest look very good.

...neuroeconomics? wtf...

Your stats are good. You have extremely good research, strong leadership, and excellent longevity of volunteering (hopefully, it's clinical volunteering).

As mentioned, you need physician shadowing, something that is fine to acquire in lumps of time over breaks, rather than on a weekly basis.

I hope you have some hobbies to list too, or artistic endeavors, or sports. They'll add a personal touch, even if it's cooking and reading novels.

Assuming an intriguing Personal Statement, strong LORs, a non-late application submission, and good interview skills, you'll do well in the application cycle.

You're ready to roll OP. Write a good PS and secondaries, get good LOR, and apply early and I think you'll have a lot of success.

You will do fine. Your stats are similar to mine and you can see on my mdapps the success i have had. As long you show your interest in medicine to the interviewers and come across as a people person i think you will do fine. Dont let your stats keep you from applying to some good reach schools.
