I know this is probably not what you want to hear right now, but as long as you are on the waitlist you still have a chance. The thing to do, as I see it, is still to go to every interview that you can until you get your first acceptance. Beg, borrow and steal if you have to (OK...maybe not the steal part 🙂) in order to get the money. Once you have an acceptance in and a definite place to go, THEN you can work any waitlists that you are on to get your best possible fit. There are a lot of people accepted off of waitlists in March, April, May and June. Work the waitlists that you have during those months. Update them with new LORs, submit an LOI, do whatever to let them all know that you are interested. You still may be able to chose between a couple of different school this way, even if they don't accept you right away.
 
Oh, for sure. I'm not going to turn down any interviews and hope for a waitlist spot to turn into an acceptance. I'm going to keep plugging away until I get one locked down, or until I'm out of interviews.

Hell no, not yet.

I'm just thrilled that someone else with a super-$hitty GPA got in. I started the pre-reqs with nearly the same GPA as Tex, albeit my Bio/Chem/Phy is 3.96 my cum sucks. We're same age, atheltic, all that garbage....

Textri is merely a twin, he's about a year ahead of me. So I figure if that tall ape could get in, then so can I.

Tonight, it has been confirmed. So really, I'm happy for me too.
