Just some info for those keeping tabs on what's going on at AMCAS-
I submitted on August 13th, was verified today, September 20th.

i've now seen a couple of people who submitted 8/13 and have been verified...i also submitted that day, but have nothing to show for it. glad to see that there still isn't any order to the disorder

6/28..Nothing.

I had entered verfication (got the red X's a month and half ago), then "they" found that my transcripts were missing! I had sent them in early June. Then I was told to have my school fax an offical transcript to them..which I di before labor day. Then.."they" told me that a "specialist" had walked to wherever they store our documents and found my original trancripts!! I asked them why on earth did "you" look for my "lost" transcipts when I already had one fxed over? There was, as expected, no answer to this question! Now, I have been told that it will take 2-3 weeks from this week (I called on Monday) for me to get verified. Initially i was told that after 1 weekd of having received my transcript, I will be verified! 😡 😡 Anyway...meanwhile, my sister has already gotten an interview for next week!!! I am not even verified! 😡 Needless to say...LIFE SUCKS!!! 😡

It seems to me that the June and July apps were the ones that got caught up in the initial web-app screw up, which has probably been fixed since end of July, beg Aug, and that is why the post-Aug 1st submitters are getting verfied faster...those earlier apps caught up in the glitch are probably just that--caught up. Who knows exactly by which process these early apps are being "retrieved" from the earlier web-app mess, but if I were an early submitter, (my date's 8/23) I would just re-submit. If anyone's done this and it worked out, please share your story.

I agree. I gave them three weeks before I submitted mine, hoping to avoid just what my app has been caught up in. As far as the "process" of retrieval, there really isn't one. I posted earlier about my conversation with a specialist on this subject. Regarding resubmitting, I tried that but it didn't change a thing.

I suppose I'll keep waiting, and practicing patience. 🙂

I also submitted on 8/13. I was verified on 9/19, but I'm still not sure of what exactly that means. Does verification mean that my application has been processed-that it has been sent out to the designated medical schools? So those schools that have requested for us to send them printed copies do not need them any more, right?
Those of you who submitted before me and have still not been verified, do not be upset. At least, most of you have completed all your secondaries. I am only on my 3rd one out of 20 or so that I need to fill out. Now that they have my verified AMCAS application, I need to hurry up and send all the secondaries soon.
