Hi guys. Is there any one who knows an international medical graduate (M.D.) who who studies in U.S dental school to become a dentist ? Do you have any information about it ? What is the fastest way to do so ? Please let me know.

I really don't know the answer to your question, but my best guess would be that you would have to take the DAT and apply to a four year dental program just like everybody else. It is hard enough for foreign trained dentists to get in advanced standing programs. And although you would have the advantage of being very well prepared in some of the difficult first year material like biochem and anatomy, as a medical graduate, you would be horribly unprepared to pass the other parts of the boards that are required for admission to advanced standing programs.

If you are really interested in this, I would contact individual schools, and possibly post in the international dental forum. They probably know a lot more about the whole process than the people in this forum. Good Luck, YosemiteSam

As a matter of fact, I do. He took the DAT, applied as a naturalized American citizen, and was admitted to a very competitive dental school. He is a D1 and is doing very well.
