I thought I'd share something I made up as a quick reference for immunoglobulins. There is use of symbolism, so pm if you need clarification. Enjoy!

"(M)o fought 5 humans before Sir (G)etus IV arrived. (D)efinitely a major bamf for being unexposed to fighting even though he is (E)llergic to worms and small (A)mts of mucous."

IgM: pentamers secreted from B cells and eliminate pathogens early in humoral response to pathogens before there is sufficient IgG (before Getus can help fight!)
IgG: four forms (IV) in secondary immune response (Sir) and can be passed through fetus for passive immunity
IgD: antigen receptor for unexposed B cells and activates mast cells (major) and basophils (B) to produce antimicrobial factors (amf)
IgE: binds to allergens and triggers histamine release from mast and basophils; also protects against parasitic worms
IgA: prevents colonization of pathogens and found in mucosal areas and is also milk, tears, saliva (mts)
