I have to decide between Immunology or Human Physiology for next semester. Which class looks better to the DO adcoms? Doing well in which of these two classes will make me more competitive to DO schools? Or should I take both of them?

No class will make you look better, and it won't make you more competitive. If you had to take one, then go for Human Physiology because it may help on MCAT. Taking a rigorous schedule helps stand out for med school but both these classes are upper level courses so no school will distinguish between them

Which one is taught better in the great state of Delaware?

Haha, just messing.... And as a show of good faith I will give you legit advice.

I dont think either one will look better. What will look better is if you get an A, so whichever one is easier to get that A (aka GPA boost). Both would be useful for med school I imagine. I have heard (depending on your school) that anatomy and phys can actually be annoying to take in undergrad because it is so babied down compared to med school - as in when you get to med school you can be frustrated by how much harder anatomy is compared to when you took it the first time. Whereas I have heard immuno can actually be decently helpful because you can in fact remember some of the contextual stuff pretty well.

But again, and I cant stress this enough, neither will inherently make you a better applicant.

Stop that.

Take whatever interests you more.

I took Animal Physiology during undergrad and found a lot of the material that we covered in that class to be helpful on the MCAT. I never had a chance to take immunology and microbiology as these classes were only offered once a year and they filled with the first registration block every year so it was damn near impossible to to get in.

Honestly, take physio. In the long run, it will help you more to have a basic understanding of that subject matter.

I didn't take immuno before medical school, and I did fine.

I did have a lot of physio, and it helps tremendously.

+1 on the physiology. It is thebomb.com (as a grad student in physiology I might be kind of biased ) still awesome though!
