I'm currently completing my prereqs and should be done with all of them except for A&P 1/2 by this summer. All of the DPT programs I'm looking at say you can have up to 2 prereq classes still in progress while applying.

So my question is, even though I'm technically able to apply with 2 prereqs not yet completed, does this make me less competitive in the eyes of the admission committee? Has anybody else been accepted with a bunch of prereqs still in progress?

No I am sure over half of applicants still have a couple of pre reqs left

I think all schools are understanding about having a few in progress. I've gotten interview invites a my top choices and I had a few outstanding. With that said, I called my top choice school to ask if having certain prereqs done would make me more competitive. They said yes, and gave me a specific list of which prereqs they 'strongly suggested' I should have completed at that time. I think it's worth calling your schools to find out.

I made the mistake of not putting that I had one prerequisite in progress when I applied/E-Submitted on PTCAS and only caught it a few days ago as I was about to do the Academic Update. I wonder how that might have affected some schools decision, as some schools that had said prerequisites rejected me. It's one thing to have prerequisites still in progress but it's another thing to have prerequisites left to fulfill and not show schools that you are attempting to fulfill those prerequisites, the latter was my mistake. I'm speaking of 2 prerequisite courses. That being said I still received a call for an interview from one school in which these two prerequisite courses were needed.
