What do you think are some of the most important issues that concerning Optometry? Rank them if you have a lot.

What issues are you getting at? It would help if you were more specific.

issues in optometry....
1. oversaturation (in CA especially), therefore finding a full time job post graduation (in CA, that is) <-- my personal issue since i want to stay in CA to practice
2. prospect of opening up another optometry school in North Carolina and CA (rumors about the CA one though, no official announcement) --> do we really need another optometry school?
3. going along with #1, too many students entering optometry school each year contributing to oversaturation.
4. insurance reimbursements (no personal experience here, but i've heard some stories...may not be true across the spectrum)
5. and the lingering issue of optometry, because it is a state legislative profession, maintaining our profession and keeping it moving forward.

some might add opticians refracting (since they do in Canada) and some think corporate optometry. i think the issue of corporate optometry isn't a threat to optometry. depending on who you talk to, you might get a different answer.
