Hey,

I am currently in a dilemma and wondering if I can get some advice. I just finished my sophomore year at undergrad and I am currently taken chem2 here in the summer. Their is only one teacher offered and he's not a great teacher but more importantly his quizzes and tests do not have many problems so even if you miss 1-2 your looking at a B or even lower. I feel like by his grading method if you don't get perfect scores, you can't get an A in his class. I will more than likely have to stay a 5th year if I drop his class and then just take chem2 in the fall. I am being real stubborn about staying a 5th year and being behind, but I definitely want an A in chem2 and do not know if the odds are very favorable in his class with his grading style. Can someone please give me some advice on what I should do. Thanks alot!

Not to be a jerk but you should have lots of free time in the summer, if that's the only class you're taking, to study for the tests.

I'm also taking microbio and a psychology course as well

Do what you want but you will have to explain why you took a fifth year. I would take it now and graduate. You can probably get an a and if not it won't make any significant notice to your application.
