So I just got my first acceptance of the cycle!!!! So freaking excited and relieved! But now I’m getting some major imposter syndrome and wondering if this is normal. I feel like they’ve mixed me up with another applicant! Anyone else experiencing this and how can I fix it??
Good morning! My friend this is a NORMAL experience arising out of sheer joy and sudden burst of serotonin in the frontal lobes--- The old adage of pinching one s Skin holds true here......Gulp in the enjoyment! God bless!

You can always call admissions for a verbal confirmation if you’re that stressed out about it

Currently I am in S-E Asia and called up Utah.....they immediately connected me to Admission bit it was recording! I spoke to another gentleman in Admission and requested only on the information of calling potential candidates who had been selected: Rules are rules! And please be patient and await your turn!....

Dude you got this. You worked so hard to reach this point. It's not a fluke and it's no longer a dream. Now take a break from SDN and go celebrate!

This feeling won't go away...welcome to medicine! I think the majority of us experience imposter syndrome, and it'll come back full force once MS1 starts. But, you were accepted-- it wasn't a mistake! Celebrate that for now 🙂
